Fredrikson Stallard is a furniture and product design studio based in East London. We are a small and very hardworking team who have built up a strong international acclaim for our work. We are currently inviting applications for an internship position 4-5 days a week. The internship would run from the end of September 2008 for a minimum period of 4 months. This opportunity is open to graduates.
The intern will be working on a range of projects including furniture design, interior design and product development for major international producers, and also have responsibility for project managing various aspects of the business.
This is not a paid position, but we are able to offer unlimited travel in London (Oyster Card) and provide lunch. If you have ambition you will gain a vast amount of invaluable experience, knowledge and professional contacts, which we have built up over the last 10 years.
From our years of experience, you will only benefit from this internship if you are prepared to give full commitment and enthusiasm. Interns who have shown commitment, hard work and passion have gone on to excellent paid work, either on our direct recommendation or through experience and contacts made working here. We have high expectations of our interns, and you must be able to take criticism and understand you will learn from this. You must also be prepared to work in a truly creative environment, which can at times be stressful, but also very rewarding.
The 3 magical skills we WILL require are: 1 Competent in Rhino/3D Studio Max and Adobe CS. 2 Good model making skills, as work here is often hands on. 3 Good social skills
