How can you tell if a Knoll piece is authentic? Is there a stamp or something to look for?

Michael Glatfelter at Mode Moderne tells me that Knoll items are labeled either with a foil or paper label. He adds that upholstered pieces usually have a sewn label.

Unfortunately, any of these indicators can be removed and may leave no indication that the item was manufactured by Knoll.
