Charles and anyone else who's interested: I have an old catalog of some Plycraft designs that were shipped off to another company after PC closed in the mid 1990s. Some of the designs are bizarro, and in fact my husband and I remember seeing them in the showroom thinking: that won't last. Sigh...what I wouldn't give for some of Goldman's more offbeat stuff now. I'm tired of seeing the same old stuff and Plycraft, having been the poor man's Eames, has made quirky vintage somewhat affordable. Has anyone noticed a recent uptick in prices for Plycraft? Not so much the Eames knock off, but the Mulhauser and some other strange incarnations?
Charles, is there any way for me to communicate with you directly? I have loads of technical questions about PC vs. Others ...
I am hoping that someone can provide me with some information about these two Plycraft Chairs. I am considering selling them and I have no idea what they are worth.
There are stickers and labels on the bottom of both chairs that identify them as Plycraft chairs designed by George Mulhauser with a manufaturing date of September 17, 1965. The chairs are upholstered in black heavyweight fabric which appears to be original.
The only inforamtion I have seen regarding Plycraft is the Mr. Chair and the Cherner chair. Can you help me?
