I recently found 6 chairs manufactured by a company called Virtue Bros Manufacturers located in Compton, CA. The label on the bottom of the chairs is dated February 16, 1966. The chairs have teak wood legs and partial teak "posts" on the back part. At the top of the "posts" is a black oval back rest. The seats are black vinyl and shaped somewhat like a guitar pick (slightly triangular). The chairs have a Danish modern, Hans Wagner look. I'm trying to find more information about the manufacturer and the chairs. They had Cal 2568 marked on the label. Any insights about this company would be appreciated. I've checked several search directories but am not having any luck.
I'm guessing that maybe you have dining chairs there?
If you look at this previous thread you can see a dining set made by this same company. Everything that I have found on Virtue Bros. seems to concern there production of dining sets. From what I have seen there items are usually interesting and certainly have decorator value but not really much in the way of serious collector interest.
They sound cool though!
