| Hey Erik,
Thanks for the kind words! I guess you are the other fellow getting to all the great stuff around here before I do, eh?? Actually, there are a *few* of us around these parts.
Yes, I do accept contributions. Actually that is my hope for Modern Matters, our e-zine that is ready to go but I am just pulling all the content together for the first issue. Actually, I look at it being more of a ongoing and growing base of articles rather than to be specific issues.
Anyway, if you have any interest shoot me an e-mail and let me know your ideas. I look forward to hearing from you.

| well, ive always thought of myself as good reviewer... books/exhibits especially. i happen to be heading up to nyc this weekend to check out both mies van der rohe exhibits this weekend, and was definitely planning on writing up a bit of information on it.
i find that sites like jetsetmodern.com have a good idea, but never really follow through all the way... if you get what i mean. i like his coverage of interesting pieces of architecture, and informational pieces, but he never goes in deep enough for me. it is more of a general information, which seems to fit the (hate to be picky) amatuerishness of the site. tribudesign is also great if you want to find some pieces by a new designer you may have come across, but with no information to back it up, which makes it hard to feel like you are getting anywhere. combining and rolling all this into one cohesive package could be the answer to the quintessential 'modern culture' portal site.
i would love to have a resource was full of reviews about books, interesting finds, interesting current exhibits, etc. more of the culture surrounding the collectibles. i personally enjoy reading about how a design came to be, the initial plans, and the reasons behind each design... which most articles ive read never seem to cover.
i'm also planning on a trip to berlin over christmas time; and first on the list is the vitra museum. i am absolutely ecstatic! i think information regarding where exhibits are, reviews, and information would be a huge help for those who want to take in some culture in any city around the world, and give people a taste of the appreciation of design across the world.
maybe even reviews of stores, people involved with galleries/auction houses (i know i spoke at one point with the director of modern collectibles at sotheby's) would be quite interesting.
