i've only recently become acquainted with the mod style and am looking for names of designers so that i can do some of my own research. also, i live relatively close to toronto and i am wondering if anyone can recommend me to some shops and galleries around the city.

Try Zig Zag in Toronto...I am sure there are other shops but this is the one I know of offhand...
