Anyone ever try and re-upholster one of the Aluminum Group chairs? I was looking for tips on methods of removing old fabric and replacing it as well.

One thought- if I clamp pressure along one side of the alum. frame opposite from where the fabric is installed, will that pressure release some of the tension on the other side wher the fabric is?? and make it easier to remove, and hopefully, this is the method to replace as well.???
Since this is for myself, I was thinking of experimenting by simply removing than re-using the existing fabric by just flipping it over. Its an old orange vinyl- a little bleached out in some areas and a little battle-scarred -on an old four-star base Lounge chair from the aluminmum group.
