The book "The Practical Book of Interior Decoration" By Harold Donaldson Eberlein, Abbot McClure and Edward Stratton Holloway, The J.B. Lippincott Company copyright 1919,1937. Is a good book to find information and photos. It has black and white and some color plates. It covers Historic period decoration in England, Italy, Spain and France, Practical decoration and furnishing, and International-Inter Period Decoration and furnishing. You may find it in libary or you may have to look on-line for out of print books. The Photos are actual period photographs,(which will rule out and later date interpretation of the true styles).
