Hi-I am looking for a modern sofa and have hunted everywhere in nyc for one that is $2000 or less, but cant find any. Any advice? Thanks.

New York is a tough place to find a bargain. You should check out many of the websites located in our Shops area as I routinely see sofas for sale for quite a bit less. If you are not so interested in a specific designer you should be able to find something that fits within your budget.

I always like to check out The ModHaus in Boston as they always seem to have good deals, especially on stylish modern furnishings that may not necessarily have a designer pedigree.

While the quality varies from fine to questionable, the style is often good (lots of good Danish modern influence) and the prices are unbeatable. I just bought the Karlanda Leather sofa for $1100, and it has loads of understated sixties vibe.
