Hey all,

Just thought someone may be able to help with this matter. I'm off to New York in couple of weeks and was hoping to check a shop which I stumbled across last year. The thing is I can't remember where it is!!

I know it was original furniture being sold. I remember when you walk in to the shop you walked down a short flight of stairs, it was in a semi-basement. Next to the stairs was a Guiness Book of Records Worlds Tallest Man statue. The shop had everything...baseball mitt chairs, boxing glove chairs, bowls, stereos, everything.

Any ideas? I know it was on a pretty large road, the entrance was on an east-west road and an old lady was behind the counter! I thin it was up St.Marks sort of way...maybe Broadway, LaFayette.

It's been a while since I have been shopping there but sounds alot like what I remember Lost City Arts to be. Just a guess from the description of merchandise and the lower level down a short staircase you described.
