Where would I be able to find a Tube Chair created by Joe Colombo. I'm talking about the one that's 4 nested tubes that can be rearranged in a number of different ways.
That is a difficult item to find, especially in the US. For those not familiar with the chair here is an image and description of it for a Museum Exhibition.
Your best bet is to browse European 20th Century design sites or upcoming auction catalogs. I did find one listed at the following site: Datalab Sixties Shop
If anyone else that reads this post is aware of one for sale hopefully they will let us know as well.
Good luck!

at http://www.design70.com. it is in great condition, but i believe they are asking upwards of 10,000 dollars for the chair. (which doesnt suprise me... judging for others of lesser quality going for that at auction).
hope this helps!

hi everybody there´s a black tubo in the gallery artificial in nürnberg, germany: 0049 911 44 06 66. although the coating is torn it doesn´t peel off. it´s in a nice condition. otherwise there are two tube-chairs in the vitra design museum (black, white), one in the Neue Sammlung in Munich (red) and there should be another at the Stedeljk Museum in amsterdam. At the moment I´m writing my diploma on this furniture (aspects of degradation of polyurethane-coatings of the late sixties...) and it would be great if anybody could give me a hint about production and cooperating firms of the tube- chair
flexform was the original manufacturer of the chair, and is currently still manufacturing other pieces of modern design (but the tubo is discontinued).
i am sure they could give you more information about the actual material used in construction, production dates (i have heard varying degrees of this), and other pertinent information.
