Hi.First of all, thanks Barry for responding so swiftly about the Laurel shade.I've recently acquired a sofa and matching lounge chair plus a seperate chair from Westnofa, a norwegan company.My chair was listed in Taschen's 60,s Design with photo but no info about the company.

Interest in Westnofa furniture seems to be rising. We get lots of searches at GOMOD on that term plus the items seem to sell readily from the Shops.

As I understand it Ekornes acquired Westnofa. I had a inquiry a few months back from a customer and she had some success in contacting Ekornes directly to get a replacement part for an old chair. Perhaps they have some historical information.

This interesting history summary of Ekornes seems to indicate that Westnofa was an export firm.

Westnofa Canada was owned by my Grandfather Ingvar (Jerry) Oterholm till his retirement when he sold the company. He also designed the majority of the pieces. The company was based in Winnipeg MB. I have a sentimental feeling about his pieces and am happy to provide you with more information if it is specific. I would also love to hear about his pieces and any interactions you might have had with him.
