just about ready to move into a brand new condo but the builder is putting in wood floors so i told him to keep the wood floors out!(my dog scrathes wood floors)and i want a more high tech modern shiny feel like marble or porcelin floors. any more ideas? or can anyone recommend any floor places in new york, to go with my new mod inspired furniture?

Try looking into terrazzo or polished concrete. Both are available in a range of colors and are very durable.
