I have always liked the design and wood finishes of older furniture, but never did more than admire it. Well, I now really appreciate it and I want to learn more. My first question is what is a good book to help me identify pieces? I would like to buy more eventually.

Secondly, I bought this table off craigslist awhile ago. Does it look familiar to anyone? It says Pal dining table 3-52 on it. The edges pull out ingeniously to accomodate leaves.

The credenza belonged to my grandmo. I also have a table with 3 leaves and 6 chairs. I think it is a set. The table says port washington, wisconsin on it. I dont have a pic of the table or chairs, as they are in the garage.
