These look sort of like the Eileen Gray Transat Chair. They could be copies of that design. There are some obvious differences here, especially in the frame, but it may have been the influence for the design.

I own a long reclining lounge chair that looks like something from the same set as your chair. It is black leather and tubular chrome, just like yours, with nearly exactly the same design, except for a "built-in ottoman." The only marks on mine are under the leather cushion, which snaps onto a heavy nylon-type fabric that's stretched over the frame. The fabric says "Dux." Plus there's a "Made in Sweden" sticker on the tubular chrome frame. I have been fruitlessly searching for the exact designer, or a similar chair. Until now! Is your chair built like that?

Hi, there isn't any nylon fabric on mine - the leather loops around the frame and is held by a snap lock metal buttons (best way I could describe it). I've looked over every inch of it trying to find any markings but there is nothing. It does look like it did have a sticker at some stage though..only the glue is left.

For what it's worth, I found my lounge chair here: http://www.scandinaviandesign.com/classics/sortiment/soffor.htm It's the one about halfway down on the left, named "Fenix." I wish I could read Swedish, the description doesn't help me at all. Is one of those words a designer? Have you found out the maker/designer of your chair? Maybe yours is on that site, too?

Hi Squid, no - haven't found out anything. I kinda gave up. The press studs on the seats are marked CARR FAST, which apparently is an Australian company. Anyway, cool chair you have there. It looks to me as if the manufacturer was DUX, not sure who the designer is from the text there...but, Bruno Mathsson did a few designs for DUX. Hope this helps. Cheers
