Hi, I picked this cool lamp up recently from a second hand furniture store. Can anyone tell me what it is? Sorry about the bad picture, doesn't really show how vibrant the orange colour is.

This looks like one of Arne Jacobsen's designs, I'm pretty sure this piece was from the 70's, I think it was called the Habitat series...

Any other folks out there know anything about this series?

Thanks Loren will check it out, the guy I bought it from had no idea but he said he was pretty sure he's seen the lamp before in a design book/magazine. I've done exhaustive searches on the net but haven't come across anything remotely similar. It's very scandinavian in looks..

I came across this today eBay Auctionand this guy seems to have the same idea about the lamp I do. Perhaps you can e-mail him and ask him where he got it from?

Loren, I gave into temptation and bought that lamp off ebay! The other one was lonely As for finding out any info on it, I haven't heard back from him/her yet...

Found the lamp on this site, says it was designed by Morten Goettler and manufactured by Schmidt in the 60's.
