Byron,
I haven't a clue, but if you haven't already, you might check the cushions. Sometimes the manuf. label is still attached. Cool chair, anyway.

Hi Byron,
I am not familiar with your chair either. I did have the coolest sofa many years ago that had the same arms as your chair. The back was low and straight and the legs were wooden and very dramatic...one leg was pointy and directed outward, the other was a biomorphic loop. I think it was just a cool anonymous design as this may be. Of course *someone* had to create and manufacture it...but who?? I am not sure.

Hi Byron, I would guess that your chair dates from the late 50's to early/mid 60's. I have not seen any books that have much info on Overman so really can't help you there. There are some very good books on chairs in general though... 1000 Chairs covers many of the known and some lesser known collectible chair designs and Danish Chairs is very good for, well Danish Chairs. As far as pricing an item that may look cool but that doesn't have any particular collecting interest based on a designer name, it's all just a hunch...no real set rules, just estimating from previous experiences what people will be willing to pay for an item. After all an item is only worth what someone else will pay for it. Barry Bryant GOMOD.COM :: bringing modern design home
