Vintage, extremely heavy with top grill/diffuser. 4 patent numbers impressed into back of lamp. Patented between 1935 and 1942. No other distinguishing marks.

i am not an expert but it looks to me like a warren von nessen lamp. i have seen some very similar.

That's my guess too...does it have a swing-arm? .... it's hard to tell from this angle.

I appreciate the input regarding my lamp. I wondered if it might be von Nessen, but it has no swing arm and isn't signed. I'm pretty "green" when it comes to identification, etc.
