I HAVE COME ACCROSS THIS TABLE AND ANY INFO WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THE TOP IS LARGE AND TYPICAL FOR THIS TYPE OF TABLE BUT THE BASE IS COMPOSED OF MANY SMALL PIECES OF WHAT APPEARS TO BE WALNUT. THE SHAPE IS VERY COOL AND IS SOLID, IT WEIGHS A TON. IT IS PRICED AT $350. I THINK IT COULD BE WORTH MORE???????

i don't think it's nakashima. the base and finish don't look like nakashima's work. a lot of tables were created in this style in the 60's and 70's by different craftsmen. it could be the work of a local artist. i think the price is good and if you really like the table it should be worth it.

It's definitely NOT Nakashima -- not even close. (A little knowledge is a very dangerous thing, indeed. I hope you did not rely on the first comment posted ...). I see these sorts of tables all the time at flea markets and thrift stores. $350 seems too much, imo. But if you like it ...
