I am hoping that someone will be able to help me research this vintage modern item.
I purchased this tea or coffee set many years ago – approximately 1986. I purchased it from a furniture store that was going out of business and apparently it had been used for display purposes. A year or so later I thought I saw the same set – except without the tray – in a shop window and my memory is that the asking price was over $500. Over the years the identification sticker on the bottom has worn away. I’m sure it said “Massimo Morozzi” and “Firenze” on a gold-colored sticker. The metal seems, to my eyes anyway, to be nickel.
I have periodically tried to trace it; online I see much about Mr. Morozzi’s pasta set, but I have found no confirmation that he designed a coffee or tea set.
