There is a guy who wants to sell me a white Saarinen tulip coffee table that he claims is Knoll. It even has a Knoll International sticker on the bottom. What puzzles me is that there are 4 screws that attatch a metal base to some kind of synthetic top. I was under the impression that the authentic Knoll Saarinen tulip tables were not attatched with screws at all. Maybe Knoll made another tulip table that was attatched in this fashion? Any insight would be much appreciated as I don't want to pay for a Knoll if it is a knockoff. The table is 48" wide if that helps at all. Also, the production years would be helpful if anyone knows.
