Hello, I have a six piece bedroom set stamped Furnette for the mid fifties. Two local mid-century antique dealers feel very strongly that Paul McCobb designed these. I can't find anything about Furnette, much less that McCobb may have designed pieces for them. This set has a King headboard with bookshelf and tambour doors and two nightstands that nestle in under the bookshelf. The doors for the nightstands hinge at the bottom and open down and there is a brass stretched and shelf below the box. The set also has a long chest with three bays of drawers and tambour doors, and a chest-on-chest with two drawers under tambour doors on the upper, and three drawers with offset-from-center brass pulls on the lower. The case pieces have the brass stretchers, as well. Any information would be helpful. Or, any interest in seeing these pieces for possible purchase would be welcome. They are beautiful! thankyou.

I have a few Paul Cobb pieces, dresser, chairs.... I do not recall seeing any furniture over the years by Paul Mccobb associated with Furnette? I'd probably guess that he did not design for them, although I am not 100% positive. With that said there are a few Furnette sideboards as of today 8/20/08 on Ebay closing in about 5 days, which should give you an idea of what they may be worth. Looking at the pics on ebay they do look nice. You might want to also try a consignment store, craigslist, or ebay, if you want to sell?
